Last month brought the onslaught of Covid pandemic. By the end of March 2020, SARS Cov2 virus had attacked approximately 287 districts of India and its ravage has affected every aspect of life. The national lock down and the prevalent fear has brought all activity to a standstill. SAM has been no exception and we had to slow down our operations. SAM has been running two programs, in Muzaffarpur Bihar and the slums of Varanasi, with a focus on infectious diseases.
SAM will include Corona prevention in its program as it is well positioned to spread the messages about the prevention of Covid at these locations. The lock down in India will end on 14 April. Even tough Corona will not go away, we in SAM will take all personal precautions and switch to a higher gear in April.
