After completing over 11 years SAM has gradually withdrawn from approximately 50 percent of the villages in Amethi UP. So far, the news is good. Trained local leaders and volunteers are able to work independently without SAM. The program seems to be self-sustainable. SAM will watch closely for the next few months to ascertain continued success.
