Small Town Mothers Learn Right Milk Mix for Healthier Babies
Mothers in a small industrial town in Maharashtra are learning how correct breastfeeding and local superfood mixed and powdered can keep their babies healthy and happy.
At mother and child clinic run by Shrimati Malati Dahanukar Trust (SMDT) in Shrirampur, which is about 260 km north-east of Mumbai mothers learn a simple new breastfeeding technique — the cross-cradle hold where the baby is held in the arm opposite the breast she/he is latched to. Mothers see positive impact on the health of their kids within a week of their visit to these clinics.
